Congratulations to all who worked hard to pull off a successful World Heritage Night 2019. We had an excellent turnout in spite of the horrific traffic events of the day–thank you so much for battling through it and celebrating Cooper’s diverse, multicultural community.
- Our families brought about one hundred dishes from every continent, especially from Europe and Asia.
- We watched amazing presentations from our 8th grade World Language students, who chose fascinating topics about Spanish, French, German and Japanese cultures.
- Students also crafted amazing displays, such as a 3-D model of Machu Picchu.
Finally, big kudos to the collaborative efforts of the PTO’s Luz Panduro with Cooper’s World Languages department, including Mr. Nolasco, Mr. Holman, and Ms. Lawless, who worked alongside Vice Principal Mike Rath to pull the whole thing off. Also thanks to other PTO members who pitched in: Connie Colabatistto, Deirdre Smith, Kelly Green Kahn, Amy Adams, and all the many volunteers who came to set up, receive, serve food and clean up.
We truly appreciate your energy and willingness to pitch in to make a wonderful evening for all.
